.holga revisited.

Revisiting the holga effect, photoshop style. Here are some cool little action files you can play around with that holga feel you love so much. I’m also throwing in a Lomography action as well. They are hosted on Adobe’s Studio Exchange, so you will need to have an account with Adobe to be able to download them, no worries, the account is free. Don’t remember how to use actions? Check out the tutorial I wrote on actions, particularly the “Playing the Action” and “Loading a Downloaded Action” parts.

I’m sure you have seen those images of towns and cities where everything seems to look like it’s actually a tiny model of a town. The effect can be seen all over flickr, and originates from an effect obtained normally through a tilt-shift lens, used mainly for correcting distortions when doing architectual photography. Well the effect can be recreated through photoshop, and I happened upon a cool little tutorial for it. The link was also mentioned in this months popular photography magazine.

BT asked me a while back for an photoshop actions tutorial, I finally got around to writing it with all the recent things happening in my life to delay my tutorial writings. I hope it’s useful.

The tutorial can be found through the .photography. section under the .photoshop tutorials. page which contains the tutorial called .actions.
